As you know, Hawaii-50 (on CBS) is getting good reviews from viewers and reviewers. Oftentimes there are scenes from around the islands inserted into the bumpers and transitional shots.

We have a new lava pool at the volcano and a new ocean entry. Some nice video is here: http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/kilauea/update/images.html

The 59th Annual Molokai Hoe will take place this Sunday with more than 120 crews from around the world racing across the Kaiwi Channel from Molokai1 to Oahu. I once was on Molokai for the race and flew over the paddlers as they neared Oahu. The small plane I was in began to tip as some heavy passengers all leaned to the left at the same time to watch. http://www.molokaihoe.com. You can watch live coverage starts Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at 1:45 PM EDT.

Justin Bieber is set to perform on Ohau.

And for real sports fans, tomorrow morning (Hawaii Time) is the start of the 2010 Ford Ironman Race in Kona. After fighting pre-race traffic today to get to COSTCO, I can assure you I’ll have to skip the race tomorrow. http://kona.ironmanlive.com /?1286598501 where you can also watch the feed. The 2010 Ford Ironman World Championship will be televised on December 18, 2010, 4PM – 6PM Eastern (NBC). However, as I say, you can watch live on the Internet tomorrow.

So there you have it, a few links with stuff to watch.
