President Obama calls the tracking of every citizens phone calls a “modest encroachment” on your civil liberties. Yes, I realize that they just looked at what are called “call detail records” but from them much can be gleamed. Let’s say you your Doctor for 20 minutes, then call a cancer treatment center and talk for 2 hours, what do you think could be gleaned from that?

So the administration says they thwarted 1 attack, yet it took looking at every citizens call records for years to get to that point.

It seems that the “needs of the one, outweigh the needs of the many, or the all”.
