The show touched on his being a Hawaiian swimmer, actor, lawman, early beach volleyball player, businessman and a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming. Yet he is really known as the Father of Modern Surfing, having brought the ancient Hawaiian activity to the mainland, where they were unknown.

The show really highlights how quiet and real he was. I have a set of recently printed U.S. postage stamps with his likeness on them. I use them for special occasions.

It is amazing what he accomplished.
