Oh those visitors to Hawaii. We market the state as a vacation but we also warn them that this is not Disneyland (Or Disneyworld) where the dangers are perceived but not real.

Perhaps 8 or 9 days after the full moon, Oahu’s beaches such as Waikiki are inundated with box jellyfish. These guys sting and the beaches have signs all over, yet people ignore them.

So even though signs are posted all over and news reports warned people that beginning Wednesday was the start, 145 people got stung yesterday. The jellyfish should be gone by Saturday.
