I bought some french toast sticks at Costco the other day, because it is not cost-efficient for me to make it at home. Anyway, this time I was unable to find the cinnamon version and had to settle for regular.

Since I was at Costco, I looked to see what they had in the way of cinnamon for sale. I had to triple check because they offered a 10oz bottle for what I thought was an exceptional price of $2.69. The name of the product is “Ground Saigon Cinnamon” which research shows is grown in Vietnam but not near Saigon.

I opened the jar today, tasted it and was quite surprised. It was sweet enough that I checked the ingredients to see if they actually add sugar, which they don’t. It also has a strong taste which stimulates the taste buds. The taste is described as that of those red hot candies.

I can’t wait to try it on french toast and in other dishes.

This seems like an excellent product at an excellent price.
