Before internet radio, there was AM radio. You tuned through the static and stations faded in and out. You might hear the Grand Ole Opry or maybe the Nightcaps radio show (the first national call-in show on the radio?).

Before there were cellphones, we Ham Radio Operators had phones in our cars. We used a ham transceiver and phone patch to access a remote phone line and make calls. Ham radio also allowed us to talk with random people around the world (think chat roulette with just audio and no sex).

If you wanted toast, you used a toaster or perhaps the oven. Microwaves? What are they?

We played outside. If someone got hurt we ran home. We didn’t have cellphones or 911.

Kids would get together at someones home to play board games. Nobody got repetitious arm injuries from video-controller/action games.

Phone calls overseas cost so much that most people never made them. Even long distance calls were revered and people ran to answer the phone call.

Television used to be perhaps 6 channels, unlike streaming services today.

Water had one taste. If you wanted to add taste, you bought Kool-aid and put that in the water along with a pound of sugar. Later Kool-aid added sugar.

There are many other examples, but I leave them up to you.
