So Tired, Tired Of Waiting
Song by The Kinks “Tired Waiting For You”.
So I have been dabbling with A.I. to sanswer questions and do reasearch. It is quite fast, however some answers make me scratch my head because it sometimes does not understand us humans yet. Sometimes I restate the request because of confusion; other times it is because I press the enter key a bit too quickly.
I am a case of contradictions. I do quite a few tasks yet the important ones are pushed far behind. I’ll give some examples.
I spent 4 hours one day and about 8 yesterday coniguring and testing some wifi equipment only to find that I may not need it at all. My neighbor either mis-spoke and I mis-understood what he needed. I helped another person recover a website which is hanging on with custom code and forces causing him to have to update software or have the site completely redone. I believe I can move it to my hosting site, make it more efficient and perhaps find better software. I have a friend whose helatcare had to be dramatically and quickly change to another provider and now, perhaps, it may not be necessary.
I have a few more fruit trees to plant and must weed whack around all the rest. My mower is agian needing bolts because it shakes so much in at attempt to do self harm. My idea is to finish the current mowing, take the water cube off the trailer, cut boards to strengthen the bottom and drop the mower on the trailer. Then I can drive it to a guy to have it welded so I no longer need to keep re-bolting it. It would help if I knew how to back that trailer up. I will drive to the location and see how I can turn around without jacknifing. It also woudl help if I could find a way to either do a circle there or have someone come to the farm.
I need to fertilize the fruit soon.
Then there are the trees that are growing under the power and utility lines. I would loke to switch from cable to fiber which would give me faster upload speed for my backups. Speaking of backups, I have some corrupted files on my desktop computer. I ordered a SSD drive and will do a disk image of the offending drive, boot from it and update with a fresh copy of the operating system from a different source. This version is quite old and any CD/DVD which I created way back when I got it has been lost for many years. I need to ensure that the drive I currently have is protected in case this doesn’t work. Many of the programs I have are no longer available and will not run on current operating system version. In case you have not guessed, I am still running Windows 7 on some system. Hey, there are casino slot machines and Keno running on Windows server and XP platforms so don’t laugh.
I have had AI read my old blog enrties here and an trying to get it to rewrite them, perhaps for a book. So far I have not been able t oexplain to AI what I hope to have it sound like. Currently it sould like AI read my blogs and made it etherial. Here is an example and as you will see, no specific examples and it sounds nothing like me.

Chapter 1
The Dream That Wouldn’t Go Away
It started, as these things often do, with a dream.
Not the cinematic kind. No palm trees waving on cue, no dramatic life pivot announced at a dinner table. Just a thought that kept resurfacing, usually when something else was broken, delayed, or asking for attention it didn’t deserve. At first it was easy to dismiss. Dreams are patient. They don’t demand anything right away.
This one was especially polite.
The idea didn’t arrive fully formed. It came in pieces. A conversation here. A quiet moment there. A vague sense that “someday” was being pushed further and further out, while “right now” was getting heavier. Life worked, but it required constant maintenance, and more of it every year.
That distinction mattered.
There’s a difference between building something and maintaining it. Building moves you forward. Maintenance just keeps things from sliding backward. When maintenance becomes the bulk of your effort, progress starts to feel theoretical.

I am still wanting to move my solar panels onto a more suitable stand and finish the wiring. They are still pointed incorrectly and I am only reducing my electric bill in half,
I have considered having a farm worker moving in down stairs in trade for taking care of the actual farm. Oncde I get the tractor and mower in betetr shape that goal becomes easier. I would still need to put in a stove, cooktop or air fryer and find a solution for the washing machine that walks across the room on spin cycles.
My health is pretty good for my age I guess.
So that is where things stand at the moment.
