I am eating less sugar, less salt and less fat. I also eat more fruit. I expect to be doing more cooking when I get the kitchen remodeled, but it is behind a couple other projects.

As I said, eating more fruit, just like the doctor ordered, but probably not the WAY he suggested.

I was at the KCFA picnic the other day and took one of two watermelons there.  I brought the other one hoe and the past day or so I have overloaded on watermelon.  To save money I buy fruit on sale or in larger quantities than most (for example COSTCO might have 10oranges or apples in a package when I really only want a couple). So I overdose on apples, the the next week perhaps on cantaloupe. So this week it is a big seedless watermelon.

Riding the tractor is not as much exercise as I would get by walking, but I am still manually weed whacking, so that helps a bit. I still buy corned beef hash and eat bacon, but not nearly as often. I am eating smaller portions of bad stuff. In fact I think I have only had 8 portions of french fries since January.

I know they say “everything in moderation” and that is true. I could have brought two watermelons home!
