On the farm I have planted a number of fruits which I had never tasted before. Although some were varieties of familiar fruits (oranges, grapefruit, lemons, etc) some like acerola, miracle berry, sapote and sapodilla were unknown to me. I am finally able to start reporting back on them.

Yesterday I went to Costco and forgot to take my cooler or insulated bags to shop. I bought a few items and succumbed to a deal on steak sandwiches in the frozen food section. When I looked for them today, I could not find them. I checked the car, the downstairs freezer and upstairs refrigerator. Not found.

It is possible that they ended up in someone elses basket (I paid for them but perhaps did not end up in my basket, and perhaps the guy checking receipts did not count them. It seems locals don’t get quite the scrutiny of others, or maybe they check people more intensely on a random basis. Perhaps they ended up in the cart that I returned, but I doubt it. I also stopped at Walmart on the way home and since the groceries were loose on the passenger seat, it fall out when I stopped and opened that door.

In any event, I bought the sandwiches as something I had never tried, were on sale and sounded good, but I cannot tell you what they tasted like!
