I just realized that June will mark a milestone of sorts. It will be then that this blog is 10 years old!

I am going to write about it now because I’m sure that if I’m still blogging in June, the momentous occasion will have passed unnoticed.

For a decade people have either wandered here or come here by design looking for some insight into the human psyche. They have come here for understanding about how we treat each other, how we interact and how the world works. They have come here to learn.

They have also set their sights and goals way too high if they have come here for answers. Like number 2 in “Prisoner” TV series, people are looking for answers. You won’t find them here.

The President just met with the Republican House. They were very respectful of him but grilled him for answers.

Catholics had a Pope, he tried his best. Now there is a new Pope who, I’m sure, will try his best. Have you noticed that they never elect a Pope in his twenties or thirties? Too young and inexperienced? Probably, but not to worry, they elect old ones and soon he too will be replaced.

We look to leaders for answers but we also make sure that elected very far along in their lives. Thus, if they don”t work out, there will be another one along very soon.

People suspend important parts of their life for events like the Super Bowl. It doesn’t really matter who wins, because it is a fleeting moment and there will be a new rivalry next year. I cou;ld not tell you who won because I didn’t watch. It was not THE game, just A game. There will be more. Nothing was decided.

Now I would watch if it was an an all out match. I tell people, you get the New York Mets and pit them against the Redskins, THAT I would watch. If you think that is ridiculous, it is not. Guys with bats against guys with padding.

I’m not kidding and it is not as far fetched as it sounds. What about kickboxing. If the guy can’t punch his opponents body with his fists, he starts kicking! So can bats be far behind?

As we live our lives, we need to answer all the questions and question all the answers. It also could not hurt to carry your bat with you.
