I sent my sister in Florida a mockup of a product I wanted to sell; chocolate-covered mac nuts and coffee beans. They were sent in a small priority flat-rate box via USPS and arrived quickly.

Unfortunately, they were left on the outside lanai and when my Sister got home and opened the box, everything was a pool of chocolate. This is why you test things in advance of a big order.

Granted, I did not put “KEEP OUT OF SUN” or “KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT” on the box, and I don’t really blame the post office. However, that test case shows that I probably won’t be shipping chocolate that way. It may require styrofoam or cold packs and that may not be cost effective.

I guess I could always look at candy-coated, chocolate-covered items :-)
