Snow, snow, go away, come again another day.

When I wrote that I would wait for my brakes to be fixed before I would drive up Saddle Road and take photos. It is a special place and gateway to Mauna Kea (where the observatories are).

I just got my truck back yesterday with new brakes. Then last night we had perfectly clear skies for the eclipse. Then this morning it clouded up very quickly. Then tonight I heard the news. Here is the weather warning:

The Mauna Kea Access road is currently closed to the public at the VIS gate due to snow and ice on all summit roads. The Road will be closed to the public tomorrow morning and we do not know when the road will be opened.
