A followup to the previous post is that the Aloha Shirt which APEC attendees did not wear, were designed by Tori Richards, a famous designer here.

This is the same Tori Richards who designed the Aloha shirts for some of our coffee farmers. A sample of that coffee label shirt is here http://tinyurl.com/8xc529s

I have not yet seen the APEC shirt, but can assure you it would have been appropriate. In fact, it is an odd event when people in Hawaii do not wear Aloha wear.

I think this was an unfortunate decision.
