With that said, I just had a friend come visit from the mainland. What a difference! Because he lives in the DC area (and used to work on Capitol Hill) his life seems to be all encompassed with politics. Often times a simple discussion would turn to politics. I could try to steer the discussion away, but was not very adept at doing so. Sigh.

Do I trust politicians? Not really. I mean, watch C-SPAN some. What is the first thing the guys ask, each time they speak? They ask for the ability to “extend and revise their remarks”. This means that later, they can retract or add to their speech whatever they want, and that corrected speech is the one that counts. I believe they can even go back later and re-revise the speech. There appears to be no “Final Answer”. This items shows that it is probably not as big a problem as it once was, so take all my comments with a grain of salt.. http://www.c-span.org/questions/weekly8.asp

The past two weeks we have had a lack of heavy rain. I may still put in a catchment water system.

Yesterday I dropped off some green coffee to be roasted. That may be all I have to sell for a while. Time will tell. Many other farmers are out of current stock.

Today I received another call from someone asking that I help them with their computer woes. In between creating websites for people, fixing their computers and so on, I am finding less time to do coffee than I should. I need to start trading computer expertise for use of a bulldozer…

But then again, I may be out of coffee for the time being anyway… :-)

As a final note for today, I found a neat site for those who like streamed audio, commercial free… go to www.sky.fm where there are some audio feeds!
