Tooth and Nail

I had a tooth pulled on Tuesday and am still taking pain medicine and antibiotic. Turns out at lunch time today I took two antibiotics instead of the pain pill. That is probably not the same issue as having mistakenly taken 2 pain pills!

The pills do alright and generally work for 4 hours but I am supposed to take them every 6 hours apart. The pain is not enough to ask fro an adjustment of the medicine and every day it should be getting less a problem.

My Mom wants to come visit again, but I have not been able to fix things here to make it safe for her. The stairs to the house are in bad shape and will cost hundreds of dollars to fix. She would not be able to walk outside because of the ever present rocks. My dogs would have to be kenneled the whole time because O’lena has a tendency to jump and run rapidly around. Koa is quiet but follows me and I have almost tripped over him many times. My Mom would have many other issues because of her eyesight and hip replacement.

I think I’ll just take lots of photos of the farm as it is now, and go visit her on the mainland.
