In the 1904 Worlds Fair it was called “Fairy Floss” but we here know it by the name Cotton Candy (spun flavored sugar.

The dentist sold 68,655 servings that event at 25 cents each, which was half the cost of entrance to the fair.

There are now vending machines and pre-packaged cotton candy available.

If you are wondering, the cotton candy on a paper stick contains about an ounce of sugar, some food coloring and a bit of flavoring.

Sweet!
