I like going to IMDb (The Internet Movie Database) at IMDB.COM and browsing. You can look up a movie or TV show and see who was in it. Then browse a persons professional history and see what else they were in. I don’t know if it still exisit, but there used to be a way you could see if two people were in the same movie or show.

Years ago I saw a great movie, which I thought was a Quincy episode. Having a senior moment I could not remember the name of the movie or who played Quincy. So I looked up the TV show, found Jack Klugmans name and then looked at his movies to find “One of My Wives Is Missing” which I remembered as “Someone is Impersonating His Wife”.

If you watched very carefully in the first couple minutes of the movie “Gone With The Wind”, you would have seen a very famous TV star, whom you would be shocked to see in a drama like this. Go ahead and bring up the movie in IMDB, then see the name associated with Stuart Tarleton (one of Scarletts two beaus). If the name is not familiar, the photos will be. He was a very strong actor in his series.

Then I was watching an old version of the TV series “The Life Of Reilly” and mentioned in another blog, that I was amazed that Jackie Gleason had the part in 1949 for a short while, before William bendix.

Bud Abbott was an epileptic and Lou Costello split income with Bud 60/40. IMDB Bio tells why.

You may remember that “Gopher” on the Love Boat also became a politician.

Frank Gorshin, who was on the TV show Batman, also was in an episode of Hawaii-50. In fact, many, many stars made it to the 50th state for the show. Now you know how to look them up (by the show title, then by all cast).

Tonight I was watching an old Rosanne episode and realized that “David” is in a very popular current TV show.

I hope that IMDB will keep you both busy and entertained for quite some time.
