I didn’t plant avocados here, although my dogs found some trees on the property and enjoy them every chance they get.

Your thought might be, “What variety avocado is it?” and I could not tell you. Infact even our experts don’t always know. We grow over 200 varieties of avocado here just on our island!

So we have an avocado festival now to complement the coffee festival, the cacau (chocolate) festival and so on. Each week mainland visitors go to the farmers markets and buy all sorts of “foreign/exotic” fruits that many of us here on island take for granted.
