Although it sounds great, would you get it yourself? Personally, I have only had the flu a few tiimes that I remember. I know I will be more suseptable as I get older, however I also don’t go to many places with lots of people.

I also am one of the worry-warts that perhaps scientists will not have tested the thing enough and it could cause major health problems in the future. We just don’t know.

Oh I know people will say that these things are tested carefully and will be safe. Gee, they said that about Thalidomide and many others. In APC tablets (also known as ASA Compound) there was Aspirin, phenacetin and caffeine. Phenacetin was withdrawn because of cancer and kidney disease.

My Mom and other parents of the 50’s and 60’s used to use paragoric on infants gums when they had teething pain. Paragoric is also known as ‘tincture of opium’. Hmmm…. No longer available in the U.S.

Fen-phen was heavily marketed on telephone poles and fliers to sell as much as possible as a weight reduction drug. It was quickly pulled off the market due to heart valve disorders.

Look at this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_withdrawn_drugs

Anyway, you get the idea.

I really don’t have much faith in drug testing and would be leary of taking a “lifetime” innoculation that has only had limited testing. Testing on humans has only been in progress less than 2 years.

I think I’ll wait a few lifetimes to see how things work out.
