It may however surprise you that a last flight of an airline would be welcomed and sent off with almost similar fanfare.

While this could have been an opportunity for locals to snub the flight, we understand why they chose to stop direct service and hope they will remember our Aloha, should they be able to come back.

There are times when I read an item online and wish I had written it. The following story tells the story of the last direct Tokyo to Kona flight (at least for now).

Visitors to our state are required to supply information about agricultural items they may have upon arrival, but are also asked to tell us how long they will be here in the state and where. Most people willingly give that info and we publish it for all to see. It helps employers and the industry to plan and market to groups and countries. In Las Vegas specific casinos may have similar info but I’m sure they don’t share it with anyone. Hawaii is different in that respect!
