Some parts of the country have a higher percentage of honest people. Washington DC is not one of them. Although to be fair (I was going to say “honest”) even Washington DC who came in last still paid for the product 80% of the time, still, the national average was 92%. Which two states came in at 100% in the experiment? Alabama and Hawaii! I think that ion average 92% is a good average and even 80% is better than it could have been.

The social experiment did not take into account economic condition of the residents or other items.

The news item also said that the CEO of Honest Tea had his bike stolen while he was heading to the D.C. booth. Ouch! Perhaps he should have left it in a different state (not that DC is a state, much t othe residents chagrin, and not for trying). Although living in DC and offering tea on the honor system could be trying. Very trying!
