I’m eating a microwave dinner and I’m thinking, “The desert has to be on the right”. Oh, I guess I would LIVE it it wasn’t, but I prefer it to be on the right. The entree would be on the left or the bottom, but not at the top. It just doesn’t seem right to be otherwise. Perhaps it’s because that might be the way it is displayed on the box, but I still like eating, generally, left to right.

I am not against having the peas and mashed potatoes together; in fact, I often (at home) mix them together. The pea butter and the potato butter join to create a wonderful addition to the peas and potatoes.

Like many Americans, I cut my meat with the knife in the right hand and fork in the left. Then I switch hands to eat it. I understand that Europeans eat “European” style where the fork ends up upside down rather than constantly switching hands. They may ask why we convoluted ourselves just to eat. But the real question is, why is their meat so tough that they have to cut it with a knife?
