I have looked at many of the houses I have lived in over the years and explored many cities where I will never visit in person. Whether it is Alaska, Russia, Austealia or even Torquay (imaginary home of “Fawlty Towers”). I have seen the house used in the opening of “All In The Family” and the exterior of Mary Richards home.

Although many of the Hawaiian islands have had Google photo the streets, Oahu is now part of a new project. The island has more than its share of potholes. The system being used is one of 12 around the world. Australia, Oakland and San Diego, Calif. are also using the system to maintain roads. It involves a car with multiple cameras and a GPS which drives the streets and documents every pothole, in 3-D! Because it is in 3-D the system is taking a panoramic view of the street location and the pothole.

Although we don’t get freezing weather (at sea level that is), we don’t have quite the same issues northern cities have with road salt and ice. Still, we do have out potholes.
