Remember when penny candy cost a penny? Now it’s a quarter and you are lucky to find a candy bar for less than a dollar.

Remember when you could buy single pieces of licorice? How bout those big barrels with pickles and tongs and plastic bags?

You could go to the drug store and they had a soda fountain. You could get a Coke with real sugar in it. The soda jerk could add cherry syrup or vanilla or lemon or lime or chocolate flavors.

Remember when grass was something you walked on and cigarettes were something you smoked?

Remember when cigarettes were 30 cents a pack?

Remember when Coke was a drink and had real sugar?

How about when a police officer actually saw you zoom through a yellow light before you could get a ticket.

Remember when a caring TV doctor had a loving family at home (not House?)

Remember when you loved the groups that played “your kind of music” and are now embarassed by what they looked like?

Remember when Pluto was both a cartoon character AND a planet?

Remember when theye used to be like 4 TV channels and there was always something you wanted to watch?

Remember when you could remember all these things without help?
