Here on Tblog we can enter URLs in our blogs to our hearts content, but when we add one when trying to comment on someone elses blog entry, we are warned that the content is not allowed, and the text is lost.

WELL, NO MORE!

If you are using Firefox there is an addon called Lazarus that will let you recover that text and you can edit it to patch the URL to make it post properly.

In Firefox, go to Tools, then Addons and search for LAZARUS. Install it, reboot Firefox and when you next visit a form (like the reply page) and get that message, go back a page to the form and right-click in the text field. There is now an option to recover the form or field.

There are some options you may wish to review under Tools, Addons, and then find Lazarus and choose Options. Once such options changes credit card numbers to zeros on the form recovery, requiring you to re-enter it for security. This keeps someone from walking up t oyour computer and right-clicking on a form where you rntrtrd a credit card number and seeing it.

So as I say, I did not find the add-on myself and just pass it on, but hope it helps somone else here!
