The Smithsonian

Decades later I was a “Net Control Operator” at a radio station hosted inside the Smithsonian near Archie Bunkers chair. We provided radio support for the Cherry Blossoms Parade. Sitting behind a glass window at a radio transceiver I was holding my hand over my earpiece listening for a noisy station to check in. A couple walked up to the glass thinking this was an exhibit like the stuffed elephant or Indians in a set. When I moved it scared the heck out of them.

Little did I think those many years ago, wandering through the exhibits, that I would if for only a day become a Smithsonian exhibit like Archie Bunkers chair!
