Without Rain, No Rainbows

Since most of the state is close to sea level, the rain is warm and often light. We can have torrential downpours but they are not the norm.

SO if you visit and are willing to put up with some rain, you may see a rainbow. You may also see a double rainbow, or an elusive moonbow.

Yesterday it started raining on the farm and as I looked towards the east I saw a double rainbow. I grabbed my cellphone and camera and tried to capture it. Unfortunately, it was larger than my viewfinder and I could not get it all in one photo. I was not very familiar with the panorama function on the cellphone or I would have tried that.

Many rainbows are not very sharp so I enhanced the contrast and vibrancy of the color to give a bit more dramatic photo. You can clearly see the double rainbow.
