Oh Fig!

The birds eat the figs the day before they are ripe enough to pick, so fining a fig 2 days early was great!.

The Brown Turkey figs appear to be sweeter then the White Kadotas so far, but the WK have not really produced much yet so I will hold off final judgement.

I am still getting lots of Meyer Lemons (the improved variety) and dancy Tangerines. I have 3 Ruby Star Grapefruits that are reasonably large but not yet ripe. I also am seeing some Calamansi (Calamondin) Limes starting to fruit. So far I only harvested 1 and that was a season ago.

The Curry Leaf has berries but I have no idea what to do with them because I think the leaves are what people use. I have to do more research.

The cacau has pretty well died off and I will not replant them. They need shade and water that they don’t get there. Even so, a bit of bitter chocolate would be nice to have as a conversation piece.

The Miracle Berry bushes are still tiny yet still are able to produce a few berries every few months.

A couple of the Monoa Sweet Acerola trees have produced enough berries that I will probably plant lots more. I really like the taste.

I have had a few of the other tangerine trees bear fruit but not much.

You have to remember that these fruit trees were planted 15 months ago and I think to get fruit this early is amazing. They need to get on a fertilizer schedule and mulched. I just have to get time.

I have someone going to look at my pump and see if they can fix it for me. I have been using catchement water without much pressure to irrigate and need more forceful flow for the 1st zone of coffee. Luckily the coffee has been in a couple years and well-enough established that I don’t have to worry too much if it would just rain.

NOW I am off to the coffee field as I mentioned in the other posting today.
