The Planets Line Up

However, the female dogs sometimes have minds of their own. When my friend arranged to import a couple of dogs for breeding, the timing worked out that they could be delivered already pregnant from a well-respcted family line! This explains how we were to have 3 litters in the past month or so and another one in the wings.

While not a Vet apprentice, I could probably fill such a position as I had a hand in three deliveries and will be here for the forth. The first litter was 7 puppies, then 5 labradors and finally 10 poodles. Yes, 22 puppies and three very proud mothers! The first litter has already slowed nursing and has been eating meat. They are outside now and playing in the grass and jumping in their own little swimming pool. The second group will be joining the first group outside, apart by a fence yet able to interact closely.

The Vet has already been here a few times and all puppies are healthy and growing bigger each day. Many have deposits on them and one family flew here from Maui today to meet their new puppy, still weeks away from the magic 8 week period when he can leave the nest (so to speak).

So although this has been a hectic time, it will get very quiet here after the next litter. It was just like all the planets lining up.

I can attest that each puppy is cute and will make some family very, very happy.
